Who I am
The question of the meaning of life has occupied me since childhood.
Growing up as the youngest of three children, I was always in the role of observer. According to this, I noticed boundaries in other people and asked myself what they were for. But also what they keep us from.
So my interest in psychology stems above all from the question: On what basis do we make decisions? How does my view of life differ from the people I grew up with? Family, friends, relatives? Psychology (psykhe - "breath, mind, soul", logia "study of"), i.e. the study of the soul, seemed to me to be a particularly helpful tool to explain behavior.
So I completed my certification as an "individual psychological consultant" at the Adler Pollak Institute in order to substantiate my findings.
I'm a big fan of the quote: "If a tree doesn't bear fruit, there's little point in cutting it back. If a tree doesn't bear fruit, I have to see if it has a healthy root." (Matthew 7:18-19) This verse sums up my understanding of the meaning of life well.
Whoever created me has also given me meaning. The combination of biblical principles with the tools of psychology can be a real blessing when properly applied.
At least he guides me through my everyday life!
